Barangay Abulan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Abulan is one of the administrative divisions of Jones in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Abulan had a population of 1,023. This made it the 19th largest of 42 barangays in Jones by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Abulan accounted for approximately 2.24% of the total population of Jones, which stood at 45,628 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,026 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,023 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Abulan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jones is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Abulan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
