Barangay Diarao

Barangay Diarao is a small barangay in the municipality of Jones, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Diarao had a population of 1,694. This made it the 8th largest of 42 barangays in Jones by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Diarao accounted for approximately 3.71% of the total population of Jones, which stood at 45,628 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Diarao moving from 1,690 residents to 1,694 residents, an intercensal change of +0.2%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Diarao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
