Barangay Badduat

Situated in Kabugao, Apayao, Barangay Badduat is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Badduat had a population of 1,065. This made it the 3rd largest of 21 barangays in Kabugao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Badduat accounted for approximately 6.57% of the total population of Kabugao, which stood at 16,215 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Badduat moving from 943 residents to 1,065 residents, an intercensal change of +12.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Badduat as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kabugao is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Badduat, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Apayao, which contains 133 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Badduat ranks 40th by 2020 population.
