Barangay Semong

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Semong is one of the administrative divisions of Kapalong in Davao Del Norte, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Semong had a population of 3,253. This made it the 10th largest of 14 barangays in Kapalong by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Semong accounted for approximately 4.01% of the total population of Kapalong, which stood at 81,068 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Semong moving from 3,788 residents to 3,253 residents, an intercensal change of -14.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
