Barangay Lupa

Situated in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya, Barangay Lupa is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lupa had a population of 1,195. This made it the 18th largest of 30 barangays in Kasibu by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lupa accounted for approximately 2.86% of the total population of Kasibu, which stood at 41,776 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lupa moving from 1,048 residents to 1,195 residents, an intercensal change of +14.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lupa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kasibu is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lupa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Vizcaya, which contains 275 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Lupa ranks 173rd by 2020 population. The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
