Barangay Malabing

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Malabing is one of the administrative divisions of Kasibu in Nueva Vizcaya, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malabing had a population of 792. This made it the 27th largest of 30 barangays in Kasibu by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malabing accounted for approximately 1.90% of the total population of Kasibu, which stood at 41,776 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malabing moving from 755 residents to 792 residents, an intercensal change of +4.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malabing as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kasibu is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malabing, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Vizcaya, which contains 275 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Malabing ranks 228th by 2020 population. The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections.
