Barangay Benben

Barangay Benben forms part of La Paz, a municipality in Abra, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 11th largest of 12 barangays in La Paz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Benben changed from 554 to 680, a shift of +22.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in La Paz. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Benben as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

La Paz is a municipality comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Benben, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Abra, which contains 303 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Benben ranks 149th by 2020 population.
