Barangay Panagangan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Panagangan is one of the administrative divisions of La Paz in Agusan Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Panagangan had a population of 3,346. This made it the 2nd largest of 15 barangays in La Paz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panagangan accounted for approximately 10.80% of the total population of La Paz, which stood at 30,969 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Panagangan moving from 3,549 residents to 3,346 residents, an intercensal change of -5.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Panagangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
