Barangay Bantog-Caricutan

Situated in La Paz, Tarlac, Barangay Bantog-Caricutan is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bantog-Caricutan had a population of 3,058. This made it the 11th largest of 21 barangays in La Paz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bantog-Caricutan accounted for approximately 4.43% of the total population of La Paz, which stood at 68,952 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,790 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,058 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bantog-Caricutan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

La Paz is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bantog-Caricutan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bantog-Caricutan ranks 149th by 2020 population.
