Barangay Dumarais

Situated in La Paz, Tarlac, Barangay Dumarais is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dumarais had a population of 4,690. This made it the 4th largest of 21 barangays in La Paz by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dumarais accounted for approximately 6.80% of the total population of La Paz, which stood at 68,952 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dumarais changed from 4,206 to 4,690, a shift of +11.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in La Paz. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dumarais as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

La Paz is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dumarais, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dumarais ranks 73rd by 2020 population.
