Barangay Datu Davao

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Datu Davao is one of the administrative divisions of Laak in Davao De Oro, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Datu Davao had a population of 2,462. This made it the 10th largest of 40 barangays in Laak by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datu Davao accounted for approximately 3.09% of the total population of Laak, which stood at 79,744 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Datu Davao moving from 1,590 residents to 2,462 residents, an intercensal change of +54.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Datu Davao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Laak is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Datu Davao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
