Barangay Submakin

Situated in Labo, Camarines Norte, Barangay Submakin is one of 52 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Submakin had a population of 508. This made it the 51st largest of 52 barangays in Labo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Submakin accounted for approximately 0.47% of the total population of Labo, which stood at 109,245 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Submakin moving from 510 residents to 508 residents, an intercensal change of -0.4%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Submakin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
