Barangay Poblacion

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of Lacub in Abra, CAR, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 1,014. This made it the 1st largest of 6 barangays in Lacub by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 28.07% of the total population of Lacub, which stood at 3,612 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 947 residents to 1,014 residents, an intercensal change of +7.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
