Barangay Mangogon

Situated in Lagonoy, Camarines Sur, Barangay Mangogon is one of 38 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mangogon had a population of 627. This made it the 34th largest of 38 barangays in Lagonoy by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mangogon accounted for approximately 1.11% of the total population of Lagonoy, which stood at 56,714 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 675 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 627 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Mangogon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lagonoy is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mangogon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
