Barangay Pungsod

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Pungsod is one of the administrative divisions of Lambunao in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pungsod had a population of 459. This made it the 63rd largest of 73 barangays in Lambunao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pungsod accounted for approximately 0.57% of the total population of Lambunao, which stood at 81,236 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pungsod moving from 475 residents to 459 residents, an intercensal change of -3.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Pungsod is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lambunao is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pungsod, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
