Barangay Tranghawan

Situated in Lambunao, Iloilo, Barangay Tranghawan is one of 73 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tranghawan had a population of 1,381. This made it the 21st largest of 73 barangays in Lambunao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tranghawan accounted for approximately 1.70% of the total population of Lambunao, which stood at 81,236 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tranghawan changed from 1,218 to 1,381, a shift of +13.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Lambunao. Barangay Tranghawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lambunao is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tranghawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
