Barangay Poblacion East

Situated in Lamut, Ifugao, Barangay Poblacion East is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 2,026. This made it the 4th largest of 18 barangays in Lamut by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion East accounted for approximately 7.72% of the total population of Lamut, which stood at 26,235 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion East changed from 1,895 to 2,026, a shift of +6.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Lamut. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion East as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lamut is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ifugao, which contains 176 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion East ranks 20th by 2020 population.
