Barangay Maraboc

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Maraboc is one of the administrative divisions of Laoac in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maraboc had a population of 1,062. This made it the 20th largest of 22 barangays in Laoac by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maraboc accounted for approximately 3.11% of the total population of Laoac, which stood at 34,128 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Maraboc moving from 1,260 residents to 1,062 residents, an intercensal change of -15.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Maraboc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Laoac is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maraboc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
