Barangay Bugtosan

Barangay Bugtosan is a very small barangay in the municipality of Las Navas, located in the province of Northern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bugtosan had a population of 421. This made it the 30th largest of 53 barangays in Las Navas by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bugtosan accounted for approximately 1.15% of the total population of Las Navas, which stood at 36,621 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bugtosan moving from 473 residents to 421 residents, an intercensal change of -11.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Bugtosan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
