Barangay Dolores

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Dolores is one of the administrative divisions of Las Navas in Northern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dolores had a population of 379. This made it the 36th largest of 53 barangays in Las Navas by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dolores accounted for approximately 1.03% of the total population of Las Navas, which stood at 36,621 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dolores changed from 227 to 379, a shift of +67.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Las Navas. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dolores as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Las Navas is a municipality comprising 53 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dolores, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Northern Samar, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dolores ranks 485th by 2020 population. The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections.
