Barangay Igtadiao

Barangay Igtadiao is a very small barangay in the municipality of Laua-An, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Igtadiao had a population of 319. This made it the 28th largest of 40 barangays in Laua-An by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Igtadiao accounted for approximately 1.20% of the total population of Laua-An, which stood at 26,580 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Igtadiao moving from 294 residents to 319 residents, an intercensal change of +8.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Igtadiao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Laua-An is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Igtadiao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
