Situated in Laurel, Batangas, Barangay Buso-buso is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 5th largest of 21 barangays in Laurel by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buso-buso accounted for approximately 6.29% of the total population of Laurel, which stood at 43,210 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buso-buso moving from 2,692 residents to 2,720 residents, an intercensal change of +1.0%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community.
