Barangay Caburihan (Pob.)

Barangay Caburihan (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Lavezares, located in the province of Northern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Caburihan (Pob.) had a population of 1,654. This made it the 8th largest of 26 barangays in Lavezares by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caburihan (Pob.) accounted for approximately 5.63% of the total population of Lavezares, which stood at 29,390 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Caburihan (Pob.) changed from 1,552 to 1,654, a shift of +6.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Lavezares. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Caburihan (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lavezares is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caburihan (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Northern Samar, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Caburihan (Pob.) ranks 110th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
