Barangay Datu Karon

Situated in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, Barangay Datu Karon is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Datu Karon had a population of 1,676. This made it the 25th largest of 27 barangays in Lebak by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datu Karon accounted for approximately 1.83% of the total population of Lebak, which stood at 91,344 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Datu Karon moving from 1,671 residents to 1,676 residents, an intercensal change of +0.3%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Datu Karon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
