Barangay Bagong Pook

Barangay Bagong Pook is a small barangay in the municipality of Lemery, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagong Pook had a population of 1,264. This made it the 37th largest of 46 barangays in Lemery by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagong Pook accounted for approximately 1.36% of the total population of Lemery, which stood at 93,186 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,336 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,264 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.4%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Bagong Pook is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
