Barangay Tapol

Barangay Tapol is a small barangay in the municipality of Leyte, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tapol had a population of 716. This made it the 22nd largest of 30 barangays in Leyte by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tapol accounted for approximately 1.77% of the total population of Leyte, which stood at 40,397 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tapol moving from 574 residents to 716 residents, an intercensal change of +24.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
