Situated in Lian, Batangas, Barangay Bagong Pook is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagong Pook had a population of 2,604. This made it the 10th largest of 19 barangays in Lian by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagong Pook accounted for approximately 4.63% of the total population of Lian, which stood at 56,280 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,321 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,604 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagong Pook as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
