Barangay Binubusan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Binubusan is one of the administrative divisions of Lian in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Binubusan had a population of 4,533. This made it the 6th largest of 19 barangays in Lian by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Binubusan accounted for approximately 8.05% of the total population of Lian, which stood at 56,280 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,610 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,533 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.7%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Binubusan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lian is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Binubusan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
