Barangay Macabugos

Barangay Macabugos is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Libon, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Macabugos had a population of 2,816. This made it the 5th largest of 47 barangays in Libon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macabugos accounted for approximately 3.75% of the total population of Libon, which stood at 75,073 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Macabugos moving from 2,840 residents to 2,816 residents, an intercensal change of -0.8%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community.
