Barangay Zone I (Pob.)

Situated in Libon, Albay, Barangay Zone I (Pob.) is one of 47 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Zone I (Pob.) had a population of 1,415. This made it the 22nd largest of 47 barangays in Libon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Zone I (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.88% of the total population of Libon, which stood at 75,073 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,486 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,415 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Zone I (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Barangay Zone I (Pob.) is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
