Barangay Zone II (Pob.)

Barangay Zone II (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Libon, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Zone II (Pob.) had a population of 1,081. This made it the 28th largest of 47 barangays in Libon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Zone II (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.44% of the total population of Libon, which stood at 75,073 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,249 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,081 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Zone II (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libon is a municipality comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Zone II (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
