Barangay San Bernardo

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay San Bernardo is one of the administrative divisions of Limasawa in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

This made it the 6th largest of 6 barangays in Limasawa by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Bernardo accounted for approximately 8.66% of the total population of Limasawa, which stood at 6,191 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Bernardo changed from 556 to 536, a shift of -3.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Limasawa. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Bernardo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Limasawa is a municipality comprising 6 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Bernardo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
