Barangay Talaotao

Barangay Talaotao is a small barangay in the municipality of Looc, located in the province of Occidental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Talaotao had a population of 1,260. This made it the 2nd largest of 9 barangays in Looc by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talaotao accounted for approximately 16.15% of the total population of Looc, which stood at 7,802 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talaotao moving from 1,731 residents to 1,260 residents, an intercensal change of -27.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
