Barangay Estante

Situated in Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Estante is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Estante had a population of 294. This made it the 23rd largest of 28 barangays in Lopez Jaena by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Estante accounted for approximately 1.15% of the total population of Lopez Jaena, which stood at 25,507 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 292 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 294 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.7%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Estante as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lopez Jaena is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Estante, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
