Barangay Putho Tuntungin

Situated in Los Baños, Laguna, Barangay Putho Tuntungin is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Putho Tuntungin had a population of 9,300. This made it the 5th largest of 14 barangays in Los Baños by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Putho Tuntungin accounted for approximately 8.06% of the total population of Los Baños, which stood at 115,353 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 9,068 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 9,300 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Putho Tuntungin as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Los Baños is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Putho Tuntungin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Putho Tuntungin ranks 90th by 2020 population.
