Barangay Carisquis

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Carisquis is one of the administrative divisions of Luna in La Union, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Carisquis had a population of 793. This made it the 21st largest of 40 barangays in Luna by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Carisquis accounted for approximately 2.12% of the total population of Luna, which stood at 37,318 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Carisquis moving from 687 residents to 793 residents, an intercensal change of +15.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Carisquis as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Luna is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Carisquis, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
