Barangay Antong

Barangay Antong forms part of Lutayan, a municipality in Sultan Kudarat, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Antong had a population of 3,858. This made it the 10th largest of 11 barangays in Lutayan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Antong accounted for approximately 5.88% of the total population of Lutayan, which stood at 65,644 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Antong moving from 3,589 residents to 3,858 residents, an intercensal change of +7.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Antong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lutayan is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Antong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
