Barangay Old Namangka

Barangay Old Namangka is a small barangay in the municipality of Mabinay, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Old Namangka had a population of 1,541. This made it the 23rd largest of 32 barangays in Mabinay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Old Namangka accounted for approximately 1.86% of the total population of Mabinay, which stood at 82,953 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Old Namangka moving from 1,336 residents to 1,541 residents, an intercensal change of +15.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Old Namangka as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
