Barangay Pantao

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Pantao is one of the administrative divisions of Mabinay in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pantao had a population of 4,358. This made it the 4th largest of 32 barangays in Mabinay by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pantao accounted for approximately 5.25% of the total population of Mabinay, which stood at 82,953 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pantao moving from 4,130 residents to 4,358 residents, an intercensal change of +5.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Pantao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
