Barangay Baybayon

Situated in Mabini, Bohol, Barangay Baybayon is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baybayon had a population of 1,396. This made it the 10th largest of 22 barangays in Mabini by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baybayon accounted for approximately 4.86% of the total population of Mabini, which stood at 28,701 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Baybayon moving from 1,314 residents to 1,396 residents, an intercensal change of +6.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baybayon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mabini is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baybayon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
