Barangay Bulawan

Barangay Bulawan is a small barangay in the municipality of Mabini, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bulawan had a population of 638. This made it the 21st largest of 22 barangays in Mabini by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bulawan accounted for approximately 2.22% of the total population of Mabini, which stood at 28,701 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bulawan moving from 533 residents to 638 residents, an intercensal change of +19.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bulawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mabini is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
