Barangay Saplad David

Barangay Saplad David is a small barangay in the municipality of Macabebe, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Saplad David had a population of 1,239. This made it the 21st largest of 25 barangays in Macabebe by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Saplad David accounted for approximately 1.59% of the total population of Macabebe, which stood at 78,151 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Saplad David changed from 1,516 to 1,239, a shift of -18.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Macabebe. Barangay Saplad David is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Macabebe is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Saplad David, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Saplad David ranks 460th by 2020 population.
