Barangay Mabini Ibaba

Barangay Mabini Ibaba is a very small barangay in the municipality of Macalelon, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mabini Ibaba had a population of 272. This made it the 28th largest of 30 barangays in Macalelon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabini Ibaba accounted for approximately 1.00% of the total population of Macalelon, which stood at 27,312 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mabini Ibaba changed from 375 to 272, a shift of -27.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Macalelon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mabini Ibaba as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
