Barangay Don Panaca

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Don Panaca is one of the administrative divisions of Magpet in Cotabato, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Don Panaca had a population of 892. This made it the 28th largest of 32 barangays in Magpet by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Don Panaca accounted for approximately 1.66% of the total population of Magpet, which stood at 53,800 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 750 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 892 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +18.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Don Panaca is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Magpet is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Don Panaca, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cotabato, which contains 543 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Don Panaca ranks 442nd by 2020 population.
