Barangay Ilian

Barangay Ilian forms part of Magpet, a municipality in Cotabato, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 29th largest of 32 barangays in Magpet by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ilian accounted for approximately 1.57% of the total population of Magpet, which stood at 53,800 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 759 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 843 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Ilian is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
