Barangay Kinarum

Situated in Magpet, Cotabato, Barangay Kinarum is one of 32 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kinarum had a population of 1,148. This made it the 20th largest of 32 barangays in Magpet by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kinarum accounted for approximately 2.13% of the total population of Magpet, which stood at 53,800 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 964 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,148 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +19.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kinarum as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Magpet is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kinarum, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
