Barangay Tagbac

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tagbac is one of the administrative divisions of Magpet in Cotabato, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tagbac had a population of 2,039. This made it the 7th largest of 32 barangays in Magpet by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagbac accounted for approximately 3.79% of the total population of Magpet, which stood at 53,800 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tagbac changed from 1,699 to 2,039, a shift of +20.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Magpet. Barangay Tagbac is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Magpet is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tagbac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
