Barangay II (Pob.)

Situated in Malabuyoc, Cebu, Barangay II (Pob.) is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay II (Pob.) had a population of 1,173. This made it the 8th largest of 14 barangays in Malabuyoc by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay II (Pob.) accounted for approximately 5.93% of the total population of Malabuyoc, which stood at 19,770 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,189 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,173 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay II (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
