Barangay Kiblagon

Situated in Malalag, Davao Del Sur, Barangay Kiblagon is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kiblagon had a population of 1,584. This made it the 13th largest of 15 barangays in Malalag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kiblagon accounted for approximately 3.94% of the total population of Malalag, which stood at 40,158 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Kiblagon changed from 1,439 to 1,584, a shift of +10.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Malalag. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kiblagon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malalag is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kiblagon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
