Barangay Dansulao

Situated in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, Barangay Dansulao is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dansulao had a population of 1,632. This made it the 5th largest of 25 barangays in Malangas by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dansulao accounted for approximately 5.10% of the total population of Malangas, which stood at 32,022 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dansulao moving from 1,405 residents to 1,632 residents, an intercensal change of +16.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dansulao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
